Minhajur Rahman Chowdhury Mahim

Hi! I’m Minhaj, an undergraduate at KAIST, majoring in Computer Science. I am also minoring in Business & Technology Management. I hail from Bangladesh, and currently study in South Korea.

I currently work on VLM reasoning capabilities at the Machine Learning & Vision Lab (MLV), advised by Prof. Hyunwoo J. Kim. Previously, I researched low-resource language processing in LLMs at the U&I Lab under Prof. Alice Oh.

My research lies at the intersection of NLP and Computer Vision, where I explore ways to enhance the capabilities of LLMs and MLLMs. I believe that achieving AGI requires systems that are multilingual, multicultural, and multimodal, which would be capable of understanding and reasoning across all means and demographies.

I also interned at UNIUNI Corp., contributing to AI development and communications, achieving a CES 2025 Innovation Award for our anomaly detection system in privacy-sensitive places.

Outside work, I enjoy playing guitar and cycling!
